Colleen Brown is an engaging singer, songwriter and pianist whose talent and drive are as deep as her Alberta roots. She has been chosen to perform as part of the Alberta Scene Centennial Celebration/Festival in Ottawa this spring.
"When I first heard her debut CD, I couldn't believe how good it was. I listened again and was even more impressed. This young woman can sing, write songs and play her instruments like a seasoned veteran. She is only 22.
"Colleen is bringing her 5 piece band with her which will perfectly compliment her amazing talent. I hate making comparisons, but it's hard not to in this case. Colleen's voice is about an 80/20 cross between Joni Mitchell and Carol King. And yes, she's that good.
